  • ** All pre-registered players are encouraged to complete registration at the venue before check-in closes. Any pre-registered players who do not complete registration before check-in closes will forfeit their reserved seat to players waiting on stand-by.
  • All games will be played on PC, however you may play on either Keyboard/Mouse or Controller. Activision IDs are cross-platform compatible.
  • Players must register as teams. Players may only participate on one team for the tournament. Teams cannot register for more than one group.

HyperX Esports Arena LV Rules

  • PCs Only; however controllers are allowed and can be loaned on request given availability.
  • PCs will be available for use during the tournament; game time is not required to use a PC for tournament use.
  • If you are invited to compete on stage, you must use the HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas headsets and use the audio & video settings set by production.
  • If you are invited to compete on stage, you must use PC as your platform.




Champions of Vegas VIII Tournament Format

Group Stage
  • Teams will be evenly divided into groups of up to eight (8) teams each.
  • Group size may be adjusted based on final number of teams.
  • Swiss Format
    • Best-of-1s
    • Up to five (5) rounds of Regulation Matches.
      • Advance to Playoffs upon achieving three (3) match wins
        • Immediate advancement upon going 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2.
      • Eliminated from tournament upon three (3) match losses
        • Immediate elimination upon going 0-3, 1-3, or 2-3.
  • Up to the top four (4) teams from each group advance to Playoffs. This means up to 32 teams will advance to the Single Elimination playoffs.
    • Teams are seeded by:
      • Match W/L Record
      • Round W/L Percentage
      • Head-to-Head

Additional Rules

  • All players will be asked to change their clan tag to an acronym of their team name before joining the custom lobby. This will help prevent second guessing when joining new lobbies. (if able in game)
  • All map selections are done with a Tournament Official present. Pick/bans will be logged and will be available for teams to view as information for future matches.
  • Map Selection:
    • For Round Robin (Best of 1), Team Captains will play a single game of rock-paper-scissors before each game. Winner determines who bans first/second from map list – map selection is:
      • Team A bans Map 1
      • Team B bans Map 2
      • Team A bans Map 3
      • Remaining map is the map for the game
    • For Playoffs (Best of 3), highest seed assumes the role of “Team A”. For Grand Finals (Best of 3), Team Captains play rock-paper-scissors – map selection is:
      • Team A picks first map
      • Team B picks second map
      • Team A picks third map
  • The “Win by 2 Rounds” rule will remain disabled by default for round robin, playoffs, and Grand Finals.

Frequently Asked Questions ( FAQ )

  • Are we allowed to bring our own keyboard, mouse, and headset?
    • Yes you are allowed to bring your own peripherals. We do have our own equipment that we do sanitize after each use.
  • Do you guys have controllers available?
    • It is recommended you bring in your own controller; however, we do have a limited amount of controllers available.
      • 38 Xbox controllers
      • 8 PS5 Controllers
      • PS4 Do not work with our computers
  • Can we leave our child by themselves during the tournament?
    • If they are under the age of 13, they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Is there public seating available?
    • We have tables set up throughout the arena as well as bar seating.
  • Are we able to register in person?
    • You can register in person on the day of, just note, we do have a 20% venue fee when registering in person.
  • How can we spectate the tournament?
    • If you are in the arena, the tournament is shown on the big screen or you can watch it on twitch.tv/alliedesports.
  • What can we do if I’m unable to make it to the event?
    • We do offer a registration credit to a future tournament or refunds. Any questions would go to [email protected]
